====== Rooting the Droid X ======
**IMPORTANT:**  Don't update to .621 until you have root and OTA Rootkeeper installed.


===== For .602 & .605 =====
Go to this site [[http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/droid-x-sbf/23638-linux-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html|Droid X ezSBF Files]] and download the .605 version.  Boot the ISO with your phone connected and root with the ZergRush method.  Your phone should reboot and you will have root.

===== For .621 =====
  - Install Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper
  - Backup root
  - Temporarily un-root
  - Install the .621 OTA update
  - Run Rootkeeper and re-root

===== Loading the Bootloader =====
With phone off, hold the CAMERA button and VOLUME DOWN, then hit the POWER button

===== Loading into Recovery mode =====
With phone off, hold the HOME button and press POWER until you get an exclamation mark. Release the HOME button and press the SEARCH button

===== Manually removing unwanted applications =====
